🥩 Flank Steak Marinade

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (or lime juice)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1–2 tbsp brown sugar (helps with caramelization)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Optional: 1 tsp Dijon mustard or a splash of balsamic vinegar

🔥 Instructions:

  1. Mix everything in a bowl or zip-top bag.
  2. Add the flank steak and coat well.
  3. Marinate:
    • Minimum: 2 hours
    • Best: 6–12 hours
    • Max: 24 hours (any longer can make it mushy)

🍳 Cooking Tips:

  • Bring steak to room temp before cooking (~20 min out of fridge)
  • Grill or pan-sear on high heat (flank steak loves a good sear)
  • Cook to medium-rare (130–135°F) for best texture
  • Slice against the grain — this is key for tenderness
