🥩 Steak Marinade
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar (or red wine vinegar)
- 3–4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar (or honey)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Optional: 1 tsp Dijon mustard or fresh herbs (rosemary/thyme)
🔥 How to Use:
- Mix everything well.
- Add steak and coat fully (bag or container).
- Marinate:
- Thin cuts (flank, skirt): 2–8 hours
- Thicker cuts (ribeye, sirloin): 4–12 hours
- Avoid over-marinating (acid can break meat down too much)
🍳 Cooking Tips:
- Pat steak dry before cooking for a better crust
- Cook on high heat (grill or cast iron)
- Let rest 5–10 minutes after cooking
- Slice against the grain (especially for flank/skirt)
