🍯 Honey BBQ Sauce
Ingredients (makes ~1 cup):
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Optional: pinch of cayenne or hot sauce for heat
🔥 Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until it comes to a gentle simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer 5–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
- Taste and adjust:
- Sweeter: add more honey
- Tangier: add more vinegar
- Smokier: add a bit more smoked paprika
🍗 How to Use:
- Brush on chicken, ribs, or pork during the last 10–15 minutes of grilling or baking to avoid burning the sugars
- Can be used as a dipping sauce for nuggets, fries, or even roasted veggies
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks
