🥩 Flank Steak Marinade
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (or lime juice)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1–2 tbsp brown sugar (helps with caramelization)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Optional: 1 tsp Dijon mustard or a splash of balsamic vinegar
🔥 Instructions:
- Mix everything in a bowl or zip-top bag.
- Add the flank steak and coat well.
- Marinate:
- Minimum: 2 hours
- Best: 6–12 hours
- Max: 24 hours (any longer can make it mushy)
🍳 Cooking Tips:
- Bring steak to room temp before cooking (~20 min out of fridge)
- Grill or pan-sear on high heat (flank steak loves a good sear)
- Cook to medium-rare (130–135°F) for best texture
- Slice against the grain — this is key for tenderness
