Roast Marinade

🍖 Savory Roast Marinade

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 4–5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Optional: 1 tbsp brown sugar (for caramelization)

🔥 How to Use:

  1. Mix marinade well.
  2. Place roast in a large bag or dish and coat thoroughly.
  3. Marinate:
    • Beef roast: 12–24 hours
    • Pork roast: 8–24 hours
    • Chicken (whole): 6–12 hours

🍳 Cooking Tips:

  • Remove from fridge 30–45 minutes before cooking
  • Roast low and slow (usually 300–325°F)
  • Use a meat thermometer:
    • Beef: 130–140°F (medium-rare to medium)
    • Pork: 145°F
    • Chicken: 165°F
  • Let rest 10–20 minutes before slicing

⚡ Flavor Variations:

  • Garlic butter roast: Add melted butter + extra garlic
  • Italian style: Add oregano + basil + lemon zest
  • BBQ roast: Add BBQ sauce + smoked paprika
  • Red wine version: Replace balsamic with red wine
